    Discrimination, harder to find jobs, racism.

    Explanation:

    Racial Segregation made it much harder for African Americans to do many things. Many would discriminate against them and avoid them. That made it harder for them to find a good job, or a home in a good neighborhood. They would be called terrible slurs, they had to face the fear of someone attacking them.
