After the fall of Fort Sumter, Virginia, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Tennessee decided to secede.

    Explanation:

The Battle of Fort Sumter was fought between April 12 and 14, 1861, and was the first battle of the American Civil War. The battle began when Confederate troops attacked Fort Sumter outside Charleston, South Carolina. After three days of siege, the garrison surrendered and handed over the fortress to the southern states.

Confederate forces began the bombardment of the fortress at 4:30 am on April 12. After three days of artillery fire, the fortress commander, Major Robert Anderson, decided to capitulate.

Although no human lives were lost during this first battle between the northern and southern states, two Union soldiers died and four were wounded when ammunition exploded at the launch of the capitulation.

After the attack on the fort and, above all, following President Lincoln's call to arms, four more states seceded from the Union. These were Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, and North Carolina.
