What is the benifit in reaching the absolute advantage in the production of one good?

In most cases unless its a necessity there really isn't If you only produce on good if that good crashes such as cars during the depression you cant benefit from being good. in a company you either need to monopolize or you need different sources of income cause if the thing your good at fails you have something to fall back on.
