The WPB stands for War Production Board. It was created by the US government, Franklin D. Roosvelt during the World War II to coordinate and supervise war activities. All the materials needed for war at that time was controlled by the War Production Board. During the distribution of war materials, these resources were allocated appropriately and non-essential goods were prohibited. Logistics were strongly taken into consideration to ensure effective use of the war goods.

The OWM stands for Office of War Mobilization established in May, 27th 1943. It was an independent organisation established by the US government during World War II to coordinate the activities of all government agencies involved during the World war. The OWM ensured that the country met their war target through the concerted efforts of the government agencies.
