What happened to all of Stalin's political opponents in his rise to power?

    Explanation:

    A good example is Leon Trotsky. He was kicked out of the upper political ring, lost his military position, was exiled from Russia, exiled from the U. S. S. R, and banished to Cuba. He was then assassinated (two years after his exile) by Stalin's spies.
