Describe Columbus' first arrival in the Americas and his later voyages. (Site 1)

Columbus's first arrival was at the island of Hispaniola and he was under the impression that he had hit India. He then went back on the second voyage to interact with the natives, a third time to prove the existence of a continent, and the final voyage was to try to find a westward passage to the Indian Ocean.
