The system of canals made it much easier to ship farm products to the East, which was beneficial to farmers in the West. How might this have affected westward expansion?

    westward expansion was when we had the louisana purchase and the gold rush i think it affected westward expansion by well making it harder for people to get supplies for getting gold.
