Well two of the answers could be correct.

The Cimarron River present day name is derived from the early Spanish name Río de los Carneros Cimarrón.

The Verdigris Rivers name is derived from the Spanish words verde (green) and gris (grey). In the US treaty of 1834 with the Cherokee the river was named as the boundary of their lands.

Since the Verdigris River was named by the US in the treaty I would say Cimarron River is correct.

In Spanish "cimarrón" means wild, specially if it was previously domesticated but scaped to the wilderness. By being an spanish word, we can asume the Spanish named it. Although various explorers named this river in different ways, one of them was from Spain. His name was Francisco Vázquez de Coronado in 1541; he was trying to discover the legendary gold-rich Seven Cities of Cibola.

The other location that could derive from spanish words is the Verdigris River, from verde=green and gris=grey, but it comes from French vert=green and gris=grey.
