Roosevelt approved passage of a law to implement federal inspectors in meat-processing industries is the right answer.

In 1906, President Roosevelt passed the Federal Meat Inspection Act to assure that meat and meat meals are butchered and prepared under hygienic places.

The law was partially an acknowledgement to the publication of a novel called The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. In this novel, Upton presented the harsh conditions and exploited lives of the immigrants, mainly in the Meatpacking industry of the United States.
