    During the Constitutional Convention in Philadephia, Pennsylvania, the delegates had discussions about the Constitution. They were debating about the changes that needed to be made to the Articles of the Confederation. They couldn't agree on many things and a division was created. On on side, the federalist that wanted a strong central government, led by Alexander Hamilton, and on the other side the anti-federalists that rejected a strong central government and wanted more power to the states, led by Thomas Jefferson.
