Why did so many people in the colonies read the book Common Sense

    Thomas Paine wrote "Common Sense" to get people of the 13 colonies to want to gain freedom from England. So many people read it because they liked the idea of having their own laws and everything else, without having Great Britain taking over. "Common Sense" is one of the main reasons why the 13 colonies faught for their rights.
