    Explanation:

    The Black Death struck Europe like a thunder. Millions of people were getting infected and most of them were ending up dead. The medicine was not well developed yet, so no one had explanation for it, so lot of things were theorized to be the cause of it. The Catholic preachers used the opportunity to blame the Jewish people. They were telling the people that it is the Jews that are responsible for the Black Death, that they were making curses and that God was angry because they were unbelievers. The desperate people quickly turned to the Jews, and led by the Church, they started to kill the Jewish population in order to stop the Black Death, which of course didn't had any effect.
