The Roma and the Jewish populations shared similar faith in the hands of the Nazis. Both of these groups were systematically killed, or put on to work in factories where they died because of the terrible conditions in which they were put in. Also, a similarity was that the Nazis viewed both of these groups of people as not worthy of living, as filth, pests on the planet.

The difference was that the Jewish people were a group targeted because of its good financial situation in general. The Nazis wanted to get to their wealth, so the Jews were portrayed as the people that are taking and keeping all the money in the economy, thus resulting in all the other people being poor.

The Roma were poor people, most of which still had nomadic lifestyle. They were targeted because they were not seen as suitable for the German society, people that do not contribute, but also because they were much different in appearance than the Germans.
