    Explanation:

    King Asentehene Prempeh I was a king of the Ashanti kingdom. He had his coronation on 26th march 1888, and ruled till 12th may 1931. He defended the Ashante from the British and rejected an offer by the British for a protectorate status.

    The british in their offer wanted to take the kingdom under their protection but King Asentehene Prempeh I rejected each of the request. He stated in his response that the British had Miscalculated.
