    George Washington was the first president of America. In 1775, American Revolution began, British army consisted all professional militants whereas american leaders came from all walks of life. Leaders like George Washington possessed great skills in militia. At that time Britishers imposed taxes and George Washington was one of the leaders who resisted this policy.

    George Washington used such strategies which led them to victory, Jonathan Trumbull Sr, is considered one of the best governors at that time. He contributed to the war effort by organising its resources of food, clothing, and munitions for use by General George Washington's army.

    When the revolutionary war ended George Washington was declared a national hero because for approximately 8 years he held the colonies intact even though there was no food, ammunition and even sometimes motivation. He kept them motivated and inspired and more important together.

    Jonathan Trumbull was an assistant to George Washington during the revolutionary war. He was the only minister who kept his seat in office.
