Mileage on the car. Sometimes this is a huge factor.

The condition of the warrantee. Sometimes a car is used as a demo. Some dealers will decrease the warrentee time. It's a practice which is frowned upon, but it is still done.

Should you get an extended warrantee? If you need it, then you shouldn't buy the car in the first place.

What the car's purpose is. A small car will do just for running around the city. A larger one might be necessary for hauling stuff around - - like hockey equipment for 4 players.
