The american revolution was not accepted because it was the very first act that something like this was about to happen.

European nations had been establishing colonies for centuries. Imperialism strengthened countries. But, America broke loss. with this it was like america was a disobedient and disowned child. So this ides was not very accepted.
Seconded, the economy was hurt in the process that the US broke off ties with Britain. This was because Britain was the world power and so the market was hurt
