Explanation:

The Vietnamese were excellent at guerilla warfare, while the US was accustomed to trench fighting. With the knowledge of the terrain, the Vietnamese were a deadly force using the camouflage to their advantage. As for the US, firing an M60 without some kind of flash hider doesn't go well.
