    The correct answer is B) during the Civil War people didn't believe that the blockade was a good idea they didn't think either it would last, nevertheless by the end of war due to the lack of supplies, the south passed through a very rough time at different levels some sectors were even suffering from starvation.

    Options A, C, and D can not be possible because they talk either about associations or how this affected other areas which were not included or the inexistence of affliction after this to the country.

    Between 1861 and 1865, the United States experienced a decisive inner conflict, the Civil War. During this conflict, the Union forces designed a blockade in an attempt to prevent the export of cotton, and smuggling of war material into the Confederacy.

    Ports near the south leading outwards were blocked, which stopped the south from trading with anyone. This eventually led to an inflation of goods and a huge shortage of materials and manufactured goods.

    The correct answer is letter B.
