    The framers formed a limited constitution for the purpose of popular sovereignty, natural rights and social contract.

    Explanation:

    After the colonies decided to not to be a of British monarchy, the Framers had to create a system of government that would have the support of patriots involved / They resolved to create a system called limited government that was based on ideas centered on natural rights, popular sovereignty, republicanism, and the social contract.

    However it is known that can these types of ideas comes up in the United States foundational documents which also includes the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
