    Explanation:

    India decided to open and reveal itself to the world therefore, becoming popular but a massive target. this is why India was colonized by the British East India company.

    China was secluded and when the British found china it was powerful enough to stop and attack from the brits, so the brits decided to trade, but china was isolationist and limited trade, but the British wanted more tea so they took hong kong although, a mini naval battle issued the British started trading opium to the Chinese. to make up for the money loss.
