    The election 1824.

    Explanation:

John Quincy had a number of charges against him on grounds of corruption and other violations when he joined the presidential race. Though he had good experiences as a secretary of state, he was not well suited to be the president.

By this time, the people were divided into supporters of John Quincy Adams and supporters Andrew Jackson. Both the candidates started campaigning at large extend to gain greater support from the people.

Andrew Jackson believed in spoils system. He believed that every man was capable of running the government if they had firm goals for the people. He promised his supporters of getting them into public offices if they they proved worthy and competent.

With availability of cheap British commodities, the Northern industrialists feared for their own interest. Therefore, the Tariff of Abominations was implemented to protect the Northern industrialists and manufacturers.
