En este plan, Madero pidió un levantamiento a partir del 20 de noviembre de 1910 para restaurar la Constitución de 1857 y reemplazar al dictador Díaz con un gobierno provisional. A number of groups, led by revolutionaries including Francisco Madero, Pascual Orozco, Pancho Villa, and Emiliano Zapata, participated in the long and costly conflict. The Mexican Revolution destroyed the old government and army of the dictator Porfirio Diaz, and eventually changed the country's economic and social system. The Mexican government recognized the labor unions and peasants organizations and promoted their organization, and their incorporation into the state party.
