The aquifers are extensively used around the world in the past century. The reason for the usage of these waters is that they are of good quality, the surface waters are lacing in certain places and lot of them are polluted, they are used for drinking, for the households and companies, for agriculture.

Such large usage of the aquifers results in much more water being extracted from them, than what naturally it is recharged. Because of this, the level of the water in the aquifer is constantly going down, leading to its total drying out eventually.
