    The ideal of Democracy is the rule of the majority; a government body set up and decided by the majority of the population, in principle through free and fair elections, to frame the authority and impact of law in society; as an essential componet of such ideal representative democracy, elections should preferably be competitive due the aftermath impact of the majority rule which is characteristic of democracy.
