    I'm not totally sure of the answer, but if I had to go out on a limb and guess, it would probably be answer choice A, "Italy completed it's unification by annexing Rome."

    It's the most logical choice, since the others didn't really happen.

    Poland did not become an independent nation until much later, and that was after Germany fell.

    France gained additional territory after Germany fell

    And Germany established a socialist Government, not democratic
