    The true answer is the Phoenician culture was best known for the alphabet.

    Explanation: The Phoenicians were the ancient Mediterranean civilization who used speak ancient Semitic language and they were originated from the Levant which is now known as the Lebanon and Syria. This culture was mostly based on the coastal area of Levant and did business on the naval area with others.

    They normally used to export, cloth dyed Tyrian purple from the Murex mollusc, and referred to the major Canaanite port towns; not corresponding precisely to Phoenician culture as a whole as it would have been understood as native.

    However, during the export and travelling to other areas for business they needed a communication system through they could understand each other. In 1050 BC, Phoenician alphabet was used to write Phoenician language. Soon, it became one of the most popular written language in the Mediterranean area.

    Therefore, the most important contribution of the Phoenician culture was the Phoenician Alphabet.
