Why are juveniles treated differently than adults in the criminal justice system?

    Because juveniles are still under age and still have a life to live. Yeah juveniles have most likely committed some sort of crime, but they do get different charges depending on their age. Some people think that just because they are at such a young age that they don't know any better.
