    As president, Jomo Kenyatta's economic plan was to re establish the trust in Africa.

    He adopted a free market system, he recognized property rights and financed the purchase of land owned by white people so africans could have the opportunity to purchase it. Economy grew under his government.

    Kenyatta also spent a third of the budget on education for development of human resources. Despite the disparities in wealth, most Kenyans benefited from overall economic growth.
