The Medieval Japan was influenced by China in a number of ways which include;
• Adaption of Chinese civilization in several waves such as neo-Confucian values, learning and Zen Buddhism
• Utilization of Chinese plans in their capital cities. Japanese used these plans to construct cities such as Nara and Kyoto.
• Buddhist religion was adopted by Japanese due to the influence of early Chinese culture that made a big impact.
