The Great Depression affected African Americans in many ways, being the most notorious lack of job opportunities. The scarce job opportunities were given to whie people.

The United States stock market crash of October 1929 initiated the Great Depression in America. It was one of the most terrible moments in the economy of the United States. People lost their jobs, many companies closed, and banks went into bankruptcy. It was very difficult to find a job and African Americans were not the first to be considered for the position.

It impacted everyone because it was the Great Depression everyone took loss from it even the blacks and the farms
