    BLM affects the US today because it is getting a lot of media coverage and it a very talked about subject:

    Pro: BLM is getting talked about a lot and getting a lot of attention which is making people realise they need to care more about it

    Con: It took the death of a black man to make them realise this and it's 2020. Equal rights shouldn't have to be an issue any more but it is.
