Explain how the way of life of one Native American group suited it's environment. Be specific and explain in detail

Native Americans were, for the most part, well-adapted to their environment. One example of this is the Plain Indians that lived in the interior plains of North America (the Great Plains and the Canadian Prairies).

These groups were mostly nomadic, due to their reliance on the American bison (or buffalo). These communities followed the animals' seasonal grazing and migratory patterns.

The Plain Indians also showed their adaptation skills in the structures they built, most notably the teepee. Teepees were tent-like structures that would be covered with hides of animals. They were easy to carry and assemble, therefore fitting their nomadic way of life.

With the arrivals of the colonists, the horse was introduced to America, and the Plain Indians were fast to acquire it. This new development encouraged the development of a pastoral economy, which was favored by the mild winters of the southern Plains.

All these examples show how adaptable the community was and how their practices were well-suited to their environment.
