How did the British government attempt to eliminate conflict between Native Americans and colonists?

    The British government endeavored to limit conflict between Native Americans and colonists by placing limits on where the colonists could go in treaties. The Native Americans worked under the assumption that the colonists would follow these limits but the colonists largely ignored the limits and continued to encroach on the Native Americans land.
