The generation that fought in World War II was noted for its willingness to give up years of their lives and their lives itself to protect the interest of the United States but used the black and white morality of World War II to justify America's failed wars in Korea, Vietnam, and the controversial backing of abhorrent leaders throughout the world to stop the flow of communism.
