What was not a primary concern of Charlemagne?

Conquering Norse/held lands of Sweden and Denmark was not a primary concern for Charlemagne. This was because he was focused on different aspects of his expansion that demanded much attention. For example, he was very concerned on enlarging Christianity, for this reason he was named "the Emperor of the Romans" by the pope in the year 800. In addition, he was focused in gaining support from the Muslims in Spain to try to control the Islamic Empire attacks on Southern Gaul. Furthermore, his military campaigns demanded a different type of attention. Despite he did not attack those lands, Charlemagne affected their international trades with Asia and southern Europe by allying with the English.
