    Chronological order literally means events in the order they happened. A primary source is a source (not a presentation of events) that comes directly from the event/time period in question ie a diary entry of a WWII soldier. A secondary source (also not a presentation) is a source that is written about the event/time period afterwards, ie a textbook chapter about WWII.
