    Native Americans

    Explanation:

In the early years of the colonies and settling in the land that now forms the United States of america the original inhabitants were the native americans so the new settlers saw them as a threat of safety and with good reason the native americans were being ejected from their land and their homes, naturally they'd fight back and attack the new settlers, and when that happened they became a threat for the new settlers that arrived to the eastern land of america.
