The Geronimo Campaign involved the buffalo soldiers and it started when the Apache refused to move to reservations.

This campaign was led by Geronimo. He was a prominent leader and medicine man from the Bedonkohe band of the Apache tribe. The soldiers were called buffalo soldiers because they were all African American soldiers.
