How does the constitution limit the power of the federal government

    The Government is divided into 3 branches of government:

    Executive Legislative Judicial

    Now these 3 branches have a policy called "Checks and Balances" which is the principle of government under which separate branches are empowered to prevent actions by other branches and are induced to share power.
