Why was art of writing was important in ancient in ancient Egypt

The writting was so important cause it was used to track down important information like how much food do these people have left. Also, it was (or I think) the first time writting was being developed

Writing was how the Ancient Egyptians kept track of things such as crops and livestock. It was also how they passed on stories.
