    Explanation:

    The plague, also known as bubonic plague, arrived from Asia when ships returned carrying goods and docked at the Sicilian port of Messina. The effects of the epidemic seen mostly in the port cities. The plague killed millions of people in Europe as they lacked immunity. Some of the regions in Europe like Milani and Southen Aquitaine skipped the plague as some of the specific groups of people had a high natural immunity to fight against the epidemic. Milan experienced a minor outbreak for its being located far away from seaports.
