The first pharaoh of Egypt's Sixth Dynasty was Teti. Following Teti's reign, the throne was passed on to his son, Pepi I, also known as Meryre. Pepi I passed the throne on to his son, Merenre Nemtyemsaf I. Merenre passed the throne on to his son, Pepi II Neferkare, and then Pepi II passed the throne on to his son, Merenre Nemtyemsaf II. Merenre II did not have any children.
