    There were 55 delegates chosen for the creation of a new constitution in the United States.

    These 55 delegates came to the convention from every state (except Rhode Island). They were chosen considering the number of population of each state. That is to say, that the states that had more population would have more representatives.

    Some of those representatives were James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, and George Washington among others.
