the Articles of Confederation created a central government that contained only a legislative branch, it does not reflect the principle of "separation of powers".

    Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation, written in 1777 was the first written constitution the United States of America ever had. The articles were ratified in 1781, making the states to remain independent and sovereign, creating a weak central government with only a legislative branch of government.

These articles, were clearly seen, not to have reflected the principle of "Separation of Powers" due to the fact that the powers were not shared among the three branches of government such as the Judicial, Executive and Legislative arms, respectively.
