Organizing for America was created in January 2009 when President Obama was elected president and came into office. "Organizing for America" replaced the "Obama for America" which provided support for the presidential election of 2008. The purpose of the organization was to organize the Obama's political campaign and when Obama became president in 2009, the objective of the organization was to promote Obama's political agenda, especially the Health Care reform. This non-profit organization also seeks political support for the Democratic Party.
