    Gandhi never wanted Hindus and Muslims to fight. In fact, he saw people as ... well, people.

    Gandhi always cared for the lives of the Indian people, no matter what their religion was. No one back then recognized the fact that India is multireligious except for Gandhi. He wanted to make others realize that they could only live in peace if they just learn to respect each other. Gandhi always stood up for injustice anywhere involving anyone and faced the consequences for that as well. What Gandhiji tried to teach the world is to seek solutions, not revenge or violence.
