How did Britain's withdrawal of troops from the BNA, the Fenian raids, and the American Civil War encouraged BNA to think about creating a single country?

    British North America decided to create a single country because they needed independence and strength. After America beat off the British, the soldiers went unpaid and the soldiers homes were foreclosed. They rioted and destroyed court houses. A strong Govt. was needed to keep America together.
