    Explanation:

    The Boxers' Uprising, known in China as the "Yihétuán Uprising", was a movement, started in November 1899 and ended on September 7, 1901, which emerged in China against foreign influence in commerce, politics, religion and the technology of the last years of the 19th century. In August 1900, about 230 foreigners, thousands of Chinese Christians, an unknown number (between 50,000 and 100,000) of rebels, their sympathizers and other Chinese had been killed in the revolt and its repression.
