Two important treaties the United States has been involved are the Treaty of Paris of 1783, in which the British crown recognized the independence of the USA; and the other is the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo of 1848, a peace treaty that put an end to the Mexican-American War.

Let's remember that the recognition of the USA as a separate state begins in 1783. Before 1776, it was a group of British colonies in America.
